Waiting for Alexander's hearing screening to see whats going on with his speech...

Waiting to build our credit up so we can try and buy our townhouse before the landlord sells it...because we really don't want to move...

Hearing test and super mom

Well it's scheduled. My little boy is going to have his hearing screened.
 He is 5 years old and still has a hard time being understood. He talks up a storm and while me and Eric can understand him, most people can't catch a word he says.. He also said that he couldn't hear what his soccer teacher was telling him to do on his first day of soccer. Although considering it was extreamely windy and he had his hat on..I may have not been able to hear either. :)

When he was born they had his hearing screened and said that he showed signs of possible hearing loss in the future. I know it could be something very simple like fluid in his ears...but also my cousins have had to have hearing aids since they were little, so if you could keep him in your prayers that would be great..In other news he is on his last book for schooling!! YAY!!! And I just had to share this..

Sunday we went out to lunch with some friends and Eric was on the phone in the car asking them how many people would be with them, so we could get the table..He said "Ok five" then hung up. Well Alex thought for a minute in the back seat then said "we need a table for nine" I was so shocked that he had added by himself, and figured out the problem himself! He figured out to add count the people in our car and add five to that all by himself!!! I feel like a supermom! :) This is good because sometimes I think it's not soaking in at all. So of course I had to share this proud  moment.

I know

Today I have to go to the doctors for a stress test and echo...I'm not to excited.
I have innapropriate sinus tachycardia and the last few weeks I have been having bad chest pains, so it's back to ther doctors for more tests.
For the past two years I have been taking medicine to keep my heart rate down. It has worked great for me. I know that some people that have IST have to deal with it because the meds don't work. So I am so thankful to God that I am one that responds to them. I'm not sure how I would homeschool and take care of the kids and house if these pills didn't work. I'm a little frustrated that I have to go back again for more tests. I just want to live my life without going to the doctors all the time for one thing or another..and on top of that it is going to be an absolutely georgous day out there today! I'd much rather go to the beach :) Maybe I will do my homeschooling at the park today...that is if we are able to get any done...


BUT I know too...

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,^[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance James 1:2-3

and I know..

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19

Please pray today that all the tests go well, and that I don't have to go back for a while :)

Waiting for Spring

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

Everywhere I look I am seeing spring. The grass is turning green, tulips are popping up out of the ground. And my kids are beginning to play for hours outside. It reassures me that once again Spring is on it's way! When I look outside and see that spring is coming once again. I know that He is able to bring spring back in our lives as well. Spring in our walk with him, spring in our finances, marriages,ministries....Even when it seems like winter will never go away. We still have that hope that winter always ends, and spring will come back. I looked up the word spring and found this...

Spring- to shoot up, out, or fourth; to come to the light; to begin to appear; to emerge; as a plant from it's seed, as streams from its source,.

-to grow; to prosper.

My week in Review

Today is Alex's first day of soccer..He's super excited, so I'm excited for him. This is his first activity that he has ever wanted to sign up for. He is usually very shy. So when I asked him if he would like to play soccer I was shocked when he said yes..And he still isn't acting nervous like I though he would be! This is a big Yay!!!



                                    LOW

My low this week would be that it was one of those long hectic weeks. Lots going on and filled up days..makes homeschooling hard. It we don't have time to get it done before we leave the house its a nightmare trying to get it done later.

                               LESSON LEARNED

Try to make sure I schedule things late enough for a five year old boy with "spring fever" to have time to get all his work done first..
