Our Story

For me it really started with Haiti. As a child I always had a heart for orphans but for some reason it never crossed my mind that I could really adopt. Then there was the earthquake in Haiti. We all saw the news. The pictures of the orphans. It was horrible! And my heart was broken. It was then that I started researching adoption. When I mention it to my husband he was a little skeptic but soon was all for it. We together decided that we would love to adopt from China. But we did not meet the requirements. That started a long journey of researching all the different requirements for different countries. Which eventually had us looking into domestic adoption. It was on a domestic adoption page that I learned about adopting from foster care. We then started looking into it and after some thinking and praying called the local dhhr to talk about the foster to adopt program. We begin classes soon and after we pass they will be doing a homestudy. We will be fostering to adopt a 0-3 year old, male or female, any race. We are trusting God to do great things in our family through this process!

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
Romans 8:14-16

  5. I worked with the CASA (Court-Appointed-Special-Advocate) program while we lived in Dallas TX. They advocate for children in foster care. I applaud you and pray for your endeavor to give love to a little soul. There are so many wonderful children in the system who need forever-homes!
