Free Printable!

It's another beautiful morning here. Time to get the kids dressed and start another school day. Let me tell ya, I am so glad it's Friday!! It's been a busy but fun week for us.

Lots of company, homeschooling, cleaning, speech therapy, soccer, shopping......

I love my life as a homeschooling mom. But I am so ready for the weekend. This morning when I got up I decided to make a quick printable to share with you guys. I saw this quote on Compassion International's Facebook page, and thought it was just adorable. Would be cute framed in a child's room or even in a homescool area. Hope you enjoy! Just click and save to your computer then print out 5x7.

Celebrating Spring

I am so glad that spring is here!! One thing I have found with homeschooling is once the warm weather hits it is hard to stay inside!! We start schoolwork and soon find ourselves looking out the window, wishing we were out for summer break! Around here we have been trying to get our work done as soon as possible and then run outside for some fun.

Today we had a busy day. But we still managed to get out for some sunshine!

I snapped these two pictures of the kids discovering the blooms on our tree.

They were all excited and even proceeded to hug the tree. Yep. I have little treehuggers on my hands.

So thankful for this time of year.

Not another negative post

I know that all the news circulating out there this past week was heartbreaking. There seems to be so much evil out there. So much bad news going around.

But I just wanted to let you guys know.

Yes we live in a crazy world. Yes there is lots of evil out there. But my God is greater. He is good. He is in control. And He is still doing mighty things.

Flowers are blooming, new lives being born, orphans coming home, hearts being changed and one of my favorites to announce....

My daughter was baptized in Jesus name this weekend!

Please don't forget to pause the music player at the top of this page.

1 John 4:4

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Still Here

Sorry about the lack of blog posts this week. My internet is down, and posting from a phone is nowhere near as fun as posting from a laptop! But we are still here. We have been enjoying the weather and have been busy with both kids in soccer. Their first big game is this weekend.

Also this past week little man has started speech therapy! He is doing great already. His therapist is thrilled with how quickly he is picking up the sounds. And so are we! Hope everyone is having a great week!

Beautiful day

Today the weather is simply gorgeous. We drove to my moms and enjoyed the day hanging out outside. Just relaxing in the sun. It has been a long winter and I am so glad spring is finally here! We took a drive to Sonic's with the windows down, sat on the porch swing, played in the fields... sigh. I'm loving it.

Yesterday I realized that on April 2nd we have officially been going through the adoption process for one year! That's right a whole year since we filled out the application. A year of classes and paperwork and prayer. And I wouldn't change it for the world. I am so glad we made the decision and stepped out in faith. If you are thinking of adopting, go for it! God will lead you every step of the way.

Adoption Update and Free 4x6 Printable

Today I spent some time scanning home-study documents and emailing them to our social worker. I know it must seem like forever to you guys that we have been working on this. It seems that way to us too! But it should be drawing to a close soon. I know I have said that a lot also! But hopefully it is true this time.

What happened was our original social worker (the one that quit)  didn't gather all she was supposed to. If we had done a home-study before we may have known what all we needed, but this being the first one  we just gave her what she asked for and thought we were done. Turns out we needed some things she never mentioned to us at all! A few of them were things like rental insurance, pet vaccinations ( She told us we didn't need them because he is an outside cat. WRONG!) and  more verifications for our income. All she gathered was our tax return and 1099 (it's like a w2 for self employed people). Since we are self employed turns out they also needed us to be putting all the income into one bank account every time we get paid for three months. If she had told us this awhile ago we could be done with it by now. But since we weren't doing that ( we used cash for things like rent, groceries,gas....), we still have a few more weeks to get three months worth of statements for her. Once that is done though the rest should be in order, and we should be good to go! So excited to get this done!!!!!!!

Here is a little printable I made today. Just right click, save, then print it out 4x6 and  ENJOY!!!

Lazy Sunday With Sickie's

The past few days Little Miss has been sick. She would have a low fever at night  and wake up with a sore throat and cough. Then her eyes started getting really puffy so yesterday we had to take her to the doctor. She had an ear infection, strep, eye infections, and a bad cough that was close to turning into bacterial pneumonia! So now she is on a strong antibiotic, eye drops, and  pro biotics.

Then last night Alex started saying his throat hurt, and not long after, he spiked a fever. So back we went to the doctor this morning. Now we have another on antibiotics for strep.

So today we are spending the day resting, and getting everyone feeling better. Hopefully it will be in time for the kids first soccer practice coming up this week!! The windows are open and this beautiful spring breeze in coming in! I'm calling this the last sickness from the 2013 winter. :) We are so ready here for warm sunshiny days!!!!

FREE 5x7 Adoption Printable

It's official. I have began to make my own printables. I LOVE going online and searching for inspirational quotes to frame and put in a spot where I can see it as I go about my day. It never occurred to me to make my own. Until yesterday. I am wanting to make a picture wall in my hallway for some of the pictures I have stored away of my brother. He was killed in an accident in 07, and I have no pictures of him out where I can see them. SO my goal was to find a cute printable to hang in the middle of the frames. But after lots of searching I couldn't really find one I liked. Then I decided to try and make my own.

This is what I came up with....

I then decided that I like making them!!!!! So here is another that I made for all of us adoption families. One to put out and remind us as were waiting, that it's going to be so worth it!!

Feel free to save either image or both!! Just be sure when you print to print it out 5x7

Tell me what you think!!

My Crazy Kids

Right now in our wonderful state of WV, it does not look at all like spring. Everything is dead still. And the days have mostly been cold. Just a few warm days thrown in here and there. But they are coming!! The kids have each gotten a new Easter outfit recently, so of course I want to get some good spring pictures soon. For now we just had an impromptu photo shoot in our backyard, so you guys can see their adorable outfits. We can just pretend that behind them, is a field of blooming wildflowers!

And yes, they just HAD to have the family cat Leo, in the picture. Just so you know, getting a cat to look at you and smile is pretty much impossible...

Encouraging Adoption Blog Post (because we all need to read it)

I just wanted to share this great  blog post I read today. I am so ready for this adoption process to be done. And this blogger's post today was so encouraging.. I'm just going to keep moving, trusting in God to lead our family into this awesome opportunity He has given us. I'm praying over our homestudy believing that God will work it all out in his perfect timing. Knowing that all these roadblocks we have hit are just the enemy trying to stop us. But it's not going to work.

Greater is He that is in me....

"It's become a sort of a joke surrounding adoption that once you start the process, everything around you is going to fall apart"... The heart Of Adoption

Check it out!!
